Job Description
The Shop & Studio Assistant supports daily shop operations, floral design, and studio organization. This role is hands-on and creative, you’ll help design daily arrangements, process and care for flowers, and ensure the shop is fully stocked and beautifully presented. You’ll also assist with inventory management and light social media support (Pinterest, behind-the-scenes content).
Because this role is customer-facing, the Shop & Studio Assistant must be enthusiastic, personable, and comfortable engaging with customers. Ultimately, your goal is to contribute to the success of the shop, keep the studio running smoothly, and help us deliver an inspiring customer experience.
Responsibilities
Design daily shop arrangements, bouquets, and retail orders in Le Jardin’s signature garden style
Process and care for flowers (stripping, hydrating, organizing in cooler)
Keep the shop fully stocked, styled, and welcoming, refresh displays, wrap bouquets, water plants
Track inventory and restock supplies (vases, candles, wrapping materials)
Maintain studio and storage organization (basement, rentals, buckets, tools)
Assist with deliveries and packing orders as needed
Capture behind-the-scenes content for social media and upload to Pinterest
Support seasonal workshops and events when required
Requirements
Super enthusiastic and genuinely enjoys engaging with people must be a people’s person
Floral design experience preferred (or strong eye for design + willingness to learn)
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or creative industries a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
Positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude, must be a team player
Comfort with basic tech tools (Instagram, Pinterest, Google Suite)
Ability to lift buckets of water/flowers (40 lbs) and be on your feet during shifts
Availability on weekends and during peak holiday/wedding seasons
Schedule & Compensation
Part-time (30–35 hrs/week), with potential for more hours during busy seasons
$20–25/hour, depending on experience
Staff discount and access to seasonal flowers
